BOW TIE:

So…you just found out you have to tie you own bow tie for the wedding but you’ve never tied one before. Panicked? No need to be. These videos will show you how to tie an expert knot! Practice a few times at home and worry knot (<—see what I did there!) there will be help on hand in Jamaica if you need it.

The videos all pretty much display the same technique, they just have slight variations. The first video (guy with the polka dot tie) is the longest and most thorough and is best for starting with. The second video (guy with the pinkish bowtie) is the one that I have found works best for me. The last video is again the same technique just presented in a different way that you may find helpful.

SHOES:

If you’ve never worn TOMS shoes before there are a couple things to know/consider. You can wear them either without socks or with a no-show liner sock, it’s up to your personal preference and comfort. I’ve worn mine both ways depending on the situation. If you’re looking for great socks to wear underneath your TOMS I’ve worn these as well as these but really any liner sock would work fine. If you try your TOMS on and they’re a little snug I’d encourage you to walk around a bit at home to loosen them up. They’re made with natural materials and will expand and loosen up with a little bit of wear.

SHIRT/PANTS (copied from email):

Shirts are from Nordstrom (color: White Brilliant) and available in both a traditional fit and trim fit. Nordstrom offers free shipping and free returns so if you're unsure on sizing feel free to use their size guide or order two sizes and return the one that doesn't fit.

The pants are from Bonobos (color: The Khakis) and are available here and also here in extended sizes. The easiest way to get fit is at one of their guide shops (you can find the nearest one to you here). Since you are part of a wedding party you guys get 20% off your pants (and also 20% off anything else you might want to buy from Bonobos for the wedding weekend, they have awesome casual clothes if you're interested.)
